I went to Cafe Brussels today for brunch. The escargot was amazing. I had a Croc Madam that came with salad and frites. Super yummy. Charming atmosphere. Service was lovely. There was also a piano player playing some great tunes that have everything a great vibe.

This is one of my top favorite restaurants in Houston. The service is good. The food is consistent and delicious. The vibe is great too- instead of filling every space with a TV screen, the walls are decorated with Belgian signs and pop art, clocks and handbags, and beer logos. This place has an excellent selection of Belgian beers, unlike any other in Houston. I really recommend the mussels. There are several broth options. They're all good. But my go to is the white wine broth. Simple, savory, consistent, and so good. The salmon salad is also great, with a delicious tangy dressing and a generous portion of fish. I also recommend any of the croques. (Sandwiches)

What a fantastic experience!! The food was delicious all the way around from the starter bread to the last drop of dessert! I can't say how pleased my boyfriend and I were to indulge in such a delightful experience. We both had the steak with mushroom sauce and devoured it. The Owner Catherine was so wonderful to chat with and her staff provided excellent service. The ambience is so cute and charming and reminds me of being in Europe. We will definitely be back soon and will make this little gem one of our fave places. I Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new place to try. You won't be disappointed!!

Excellent food. Great beer selection. Nice neighborhood gem. Friendly service. Was quiet the day I was there for a late lunch but it looks like it's a hopping place at times.

I had been wanting to try this local cafe after seeing all the reviews on yelp. As a first ward resident myself, I was excited to support this business. Love me a good local neighborhood spot! Came here during lunch with my wife and 4 month old. There is parking behind the building that shares with other businesses, but it is plentiful. We walked in and got sat right away - we did go on a slow weekday. Place is pretty casual and laid back with a lot of Belgian decor all over. We ordered off of their lunch menu but got mussels for appetizers. They are known for the mussels, so we had to get it. They offer a lot of different styles of mussels but we opted for their Moules à l'Escargot which is mussels in this delicious butter garlic sauce. I got the Le Chic Poulet (chicken sandwich with veggies), and my wife got the Le Thon (tuna sandwich). The lunch special comes with either fries or soup of the day - I got fries and my wife got the soup which was carrot soup that day. The mussels were delicious and definitely the highlight of the meal. The sandwiches were both ok although I did like the chicken better. Fries were good and carrot soup were ok. Portions are decent sized. Overall I liked my visit here. I will definitely be back for the mussels, but also to try other things on their menu. The sandwiches were just ok, but quite frankly I'll be fine with just their mussels, some bread and maybe a beer!

This is our second visit, the first was years ago. It doesn't seem that much has changed. It feels bar/pub like with lots of dark wood but still family friendly. The service is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. The waitress was super sweet and helpful when my daughter sloshed some of her beverage. And the food is why we remembered this place and came back. The mussels are outstanding with so many preparations to choose from. The fries and homemade mayonnaise are perfection. My husband opted for the steak tartar this time. He said the meat was ground a bit more finely than his preference but it tasted fabulous. We were too full for dessert but shared profiteroles anyway, which were delicious.

A nice French restaurant that will transport your taste buds to Paris! We were lucky enough to happen to stop by during Restaurant Week. We ordered the foie gras to start off the meal, it was fatty creamy goodness! For the meal we had seafood salad and stuff pork loin. The seafood salad had all different kinds of seafood and was just okay. The pork was a nice dish with a nice balance of savory and sweetness! The staff are well educated in the menu and their spectacular wine selection to help you pair the perfect wine with your meal!

Came for brunch today! The music, mimosas and food were great. I got the steak and eggs which came with a salad, fried and homemade mayo. The German in me was in heaven. They had a lovely little music act going on which was the perfect noice level. I can't wait to go back for dinner and try the mussels and French onion soup which looked amazing!

I went here for lunch with my friend and I highly recommend this place! The staff were very friendly and their food was great! I ordered the lobster sandwich and mushroom soup lunch deal and both were delicious. We ordered the mussels for the table and it was delicious as well. I highly recommend getting their mussels because it was cooked well and flavor was good. They have free parking at the back of the restaurant so no need to park on the street.

Kicking myself for not coming here sooner. Of course a Belgian restaurant will have a wide BELGIAN beer selection. Its pretty impressive! For food I do want to note they make everything fresh in house daily and their mussels are never frozen. We started out with a mussels in a cheese sauce. It was delicious. My husband had the meatloaf. I stole a lot of his food it was so good. My spaghetti bolognese was about 2 servings worth. I made the mistake of eating too much again it was so good! The reason for 4 stars. We wanted to save the mussels sauce but the waitress just took it away after we told her not to. Also we were going to munch on the fries after we paid but she took the plate away. If I wasnt so full I would've fought for those fries.
